- National Home Food Preservation - The National Center for Home Food Processing and Preservation was established with funding from the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES-USDA) in 2000 as a multi-institutional effort with The University of Georgia and Alabama A&M University as the primary institutions. Expert scientists in home food preservation from industry and eight other U.S. universities comprised an advisory committee for the Center.

At this time ServSafe Level 2 Training is available online through our office
ServSafe™ Level 2 Training (Managers) will now be offered in Greene County! Taking the online course and passing the exam will provide a five year certification from the National Restaurant Association. Registering for the online training is easy-simply contact Melanie Hart, FCS Eductor at 937-372-9971, ext. 112 to complete the registration, schedule your exam date and begin the training.
"Supermarket Savvy" is the fourth class of the five-week Money Management "Spending Smartly" program which helps individuals and families learn how to manage their money wisely. It is offered in Xenia. Topics include smart shopping tips, meal planning, and techniques to stretch your food budget. Call 937-372-9971 (ext.112) to register.
