Quality Assurance is a pledge or promise that youth producers...

  • Provide a food animal product preferred by consumers
  • Provide a safe, wholesome food animal product
  • Ensure youth producers maintain food safety, animal handling, care, and welfare standards of the livestock industry.

4-H Members must complete a Quality Assurance training to exhibit at the Greene County Fair. This training must be completed by June 1 of the current 4-H year.

Who Should Complete Quality Assurance?

4-H members enrolled in the following projects must complete Quality Assurance:

  • Beef (Including Feeders!)
  • Dairy (Beef and Goat)
  • Goats
  • Llamas & Alpacas
  • Poultry
  • Rabbit
  • Sheep
  • Swine

State Options:

  • The Ohio Beef Expo - March 12-16, 2025 - Ohio State Expo Center
    • Must Present a Certificate to the Extension Office
  • Ohio 4-H Volunteer Conference - March 8, 2025 - Columbus Convention Center
    • Must Present a Certificate to the Extension Office
  • Youth Poultry Clinic (Spring 2025)
    • Must Present a Certificate to the Extension Office
  • Ohio 4-H Dairy Palooza - April 12, 2025 - Canfield, Ohio 
    • Must Present a Certificate to the Extension Office
  • Ohio 4-H Swine Day (March 2025)
    • Must Present a Certificate to the Extension Office
