Debora (Debbi) Custer began her journey as a SNAP-Ed Program Assistant in June of 2014.  Prior to joining the Ohio State University Extension of Greene County, she was employed by the Greene County Family and Children First Department.  During her employment with Greene County, she served as the Social Service Program Specialist for the Jamestown Area Family Resource Center for over fifteen years.   During her time at the Family Resource Center, she assisted Greeneview area residents through information and referral, peer support, holiday assistance, after-school youth programs and an annual free summer youth program (S.O.A.R.).    It was also during this time that she began teaching consumers on food and nutrition, while taking care of food pantry assessments and appointments.   In her youth, Debbi enjoyed spending time in 4-H where she was involved in many sewing and cooking projects and competed at the Ohio State Fair in bread baking.  She attended the Ohio State University Newark Branch and her son is a very proud, past member of the Ohio State University Marching Band.
