    Join us Saturday, February 9th from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. for An Afternoon of Hostas!

    Joy Pierzynski, director of the OSU Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic, will present “Top Three Scourges of Hosta: Causes and Management”. Learn to identify and manage: virus X, foliar nematodes, and petiole rot on hosta.

    Bob Liames, President of the Miami Valley Hosta Society, will present “Hostamania” a guide on the culture, care and many uses of hosta.

  4. Greene County Beef Quality Assurance - 2/2

    Beef Quality Assurance Certification – February 2, 2019

    Join OSU Extension Greene County on February 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. for a Beef Quality Assurance Certification at the office on the fairgrounds. Beef and dairy farmers as well as 4-H & FFA members who show or sell these projects should strongly consider becoming certified.

  5. Master Gardener Volunteer Training Class

    Oct. 29, 2018

    Applications are now available to become an OSU Extension Greene County Master Gardener Volunteer. Submit your application by following the steps below by October 31.


    Greene County trains Master Gardeners on odd numbered years. The classes include but are not limited to: botany, entomology, woody ornamentals, native plants and pollinators. The program encompasses more than 50 hours of class room instruction and 50 hours of volunteer activities.

  6. Save the Date for School Gardening Series!

    Save the date!  We are offering the first Project Greene Teacher.  This is a school gardening series for educators or community members.  If you would like to learn more about gardening as a way for others to learn, then this program is for you!

    We hope you will join us June 18-June 20, 2019 for this great series.

  7. Greene County Farm Tour

  10. Ohio 4-H State Fair App

    The 2018 Ohio 4-H app is now available at the iOS store and in the Google Play store. This app contains the 4-H non-livestock schedule, schedule for livestock skill-a-thons, maps, a survey and a listing of non-livestock donors. Users will be able to search for results from 4-H non-livestock events.  Check it out today!
