If you are looking for an enjoyable evening filled with great food, entertainment and fantastic view of the area north of Xenia plan to attend the Saturday June 27 Farm Forum Picnic/Scholarship Fund Raiser “Dinner on the Farm” starting at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the newly renovated Orchard Lane Banquet Center located at 2185 S.R. 235 north of Xenia. The Banquet Center is the former home of the Orchard Lane Restaurant and offers a breathtaking view of the countryside looking south towards Xenia. The program includes food by Little Miami River Catering Co. of Bellbrook and music by the band “Dumbfounded”. Weather permitting the band will be performing outside so bring a lawn chair otherwise we will be in the Banquet Center. Other entertainment for children will include a clown, and games. .
The menu includes grilled marinated chicken breast and shredded beef brisket with all the trimmings for adults and the kids menu will offer hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti w/Marinara, chicken nuggets and corn dogs with vegetables, fruit and drinks.
Money from the picnic will go towards funding scholarships for those planning to enter a field of study related to agriculture. Farm Forum has awarded over $6000 in scholarships in the last two years. Cost of tickets is $20 for those age 11 and older and $4.50 for anyone age 10 and under.
