Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Training is open to residents of the Miami Valley Extesnion Education and Research Area and surounding counties. The Miami Valley EERA include Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayete, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Preble and Warren Counties.  This ten-week, hands-on program focuses on environmental issues, ecology, wildlife and natural resources.   Once training is completed members volunteer 40 hours the first year teaching the values of Ohio’s natural resources to others in area parks.  Recertification the following year requires eight hours of advanced training and volunteering an additional 20 hours.  2010 program dates are still being finalized, check back or call for more information.  Cost is $150.00 which includes OCVN Manual, and resource publications.

A $50.00 non-refundable check or money order must accompany your application.  The remaining $100.00 is due the first day of class.  The check or money order should be made payable to OSU-Montgomery County Extension.  We do accept major credit cards with a 3% fee. Attached is the credit card form.
