Lucas County Master Gardener Impact on Local Residents

OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers receive intensive training to be certified with the program.  After 50+ hours of training, volunteers give back to the community by working with the public.

Projects include community gardens, workshops, and they volunteers run the Horticultural Hotline on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

During those hours, volunteers are on hand to identify plant samples, research problems with plants, identify insects, provide information on how to correct or eliminate the problems.

This service is free of charge to all residents of Lucas County.  Call 419-578-6783 and ask for "The Hotline."
