Welcome to 4-H in the Classroom! 

Listed are all the projects offered, with a brief description.  All materials for the projects, except consumables, are provided.

Chicken Embryology (Pre-K through Grade 8) egg/chick
Learn about the beginning of life as you study the chick's development.  Incubator and a dozen eggs provided.  Four week program offered September, March, and May.  A teacher leader program.              

Wisconsin Fast Plants (Pre K through Grade 8)
Study plant growth by planting seeds and watching them grow.  Five week program offered October, January, and April.  A teacher leader program. 

Breads of the Harvest (Grades 3-5)
This project teaches the science, history, and nutrition of bread making since the time of the Pilgrims.  Members conclude by making a loaf of colonial bread.  Four week program offerect October and March.  A teacher leader program. 

Weather Together (Grade 4)           smiling sun
This project engages learners in exploration of weather through a variety of classroom-based and self-guided activities.  The teaching strategy reflected in this unit encourages inquiry-based learning, the active use of science skills, and the use of creative and critical thinking skills.  Students will explore the influence of sunlight, gravity, and moisture on the atmosphere, and the interaction of these influences which create weather.  Students will predict the level and intensity of these interactions on local weather with the busy teacher in mind.  This five week, five lesson unit is designed to be taught in 60 minute intervals.
